  1. We bought a new iMac last week (sshh, don't tell the kids). Trying to decide if it's worth returning to get the Black Friday discount.
  2. Overheard: "The gene pool isn't always the best answer."
  3. Thinking of getting a Roku? The top model is half-off for 500 customers at 10am CST. http://blackfriday.roku.com/ (code "hdxrsteal")
  4. This Texas game is really turning into something. A great season, too bad I didn't care while actually attending UT.
  5. The kids are playing New Super Mario with their cousins and it is craziness. And loud. And I hope no one gets punched.
  6. The pig has been roasted, the turkey has been fried. This side of the family knows how to cook right. Happy Thanksgiving everyone.
  7. Impressed with Pie Guy. Related: actions speak louder than words. http://j.mp/pieguy
  8. @atomicbird Are you viewing it from a Twitter client? You need to use Mobile Safari to get the + button.
  9. RT @boltcity: Steven Spielberg was rejected by USC film school when he applied, but now has a building there named after him.
  10. Tweaking some CSS while we watch Charlie Brown Thanksgiving via Apple TV.
  11. Updated to Transmit 3.7, a.k.a the release that might have been 3.6.10 at other software companies. Whew! http://bit.ly/83828O
  12. @natevw So new I hadn't noticed until @danielpunkass pointed it out tonight. I'm glad to see the change.
  13. @robmack That's system-wide, works in most Mac apps. (Except Tweetie, despite how many times I try.)
  14. @ericbrunstad Sort of. It's great if you have multiple devices, but sometimes I miss just downloading all my mail. POP is simple.
  15. @ryanirelan Well, I do have this code right here... Oh wait, no no no. ;-)
  16. Three things I hate right now: IMAP. All mail clients. All mail servers.
  17. @kalperin Not a lot, about 3 contests total in a couple years. My 2 cents: keep it simple, tell the press, expect more traffic but not $$$$.
  18. @kevinhoctor Heh. Yeah, those prizes always had a way of disappointing. Gimmicky.
  19. As a kid, I hated reading the words "allow 4-6 weeks for delivery". When I run a contest now, I ship the prize in 1 day.
  20. @SenorDanimal That's a fair summary. It will be interesting to see how HD looks from these new Roku channels.
