  1. @supermarcey I understand. You can only take so much Hakari in one sitting. I have that effect on people. ;-)
  2. @supermarcey I can imagine you letting loose a "MOTHERFUCKER!" every time I disconnect. :-D
  3. @jenyamato Good list. But no "Reefer Madness"? For shame. Signed, the guy who liked "Rent."
  4. Toyriffic in Rice Lake offered me $1 in store credit for four DVDs and three Game Boy games. To quote Shakespeare, "Fuck you."
  5. Explain to me the logic of hiring notable actors to voice in "Chipmunks," then altering their voices beyond all recognition.
  6. @johnbeahan Article's finally finished, bud. Will let you know when it's posted.
  7. With my Christmas writing bonuses, ordered "The Wolf Man" and "New Tale of Zatoichi" on DVD, plus "The Climax" on VHS
  8. @scottEweinberg You just reminded me that I bought "Creature" at a pawn shop five years ago and promptly forgot about it. Shit.
  9. @tombrazelton Happy birthday, sir!
  10. @eliroth That was my first Argento. Pretty good shite indeed.
  11. @Meddacated Happened at "Jackass: The Movie" and the Jim Carrey "Grinch." Really confuses me.
  12. @eyrbare Beats me. But I remember seeing "Jackass" here, then at another theater, and the other place had a scene Rice Lake didn't.
  13. So apparently the print of "Avatar" I saw was missing a scene. As much as I love the Lake 7, this has happened before.
  14. @EricDSnider Wait, legs? They never showed his legs at my screening.
  15. I can't say I was a fan of Brittany Murphy, but it sucks to see her go so early. R.I.P.
  16. On Passport Cinema, Chris Luedtke journeys to "Solaris," while A.J. Hakari confronts the demonic terrors of "P" -- http://passportcinema.com
  17. @EDouglasWW I've no problem with folks loving "Avatar." It's the "And screw you if you hate it!" some include that rubs me wrong.
  18. Thought "Avatar" was good. Damn good, even. But that's it.
  19. @johnbeahan And duly noted on "Peppermint Candy." I also heard about it from another friend who's into Asian cinema. I gotta check it out.
  20. @johnbeahan Oh, I've no quarrel with Reiko; she was a take-charge minx in the picture, the flick's highlight for sure.
