  1. @boredzo Good explanation. But the compiler will catch using pointers as integers as warnings (at least it did for me).
  2. @sdegutis That appears to have no effect either. I don't remember local names shadowing function names before
  3. @boredzo index is a C function, but it does not generate a shadow warning. At least not in my ObjC code.
  4. I don't understand the abbreviating of "index" to "idx". I mean really, those two extra keystrokes were going to cause carpal tunnel?
  5. @lapcat @natevw It's 10% for "consumer" hardware, 20% for "professional" hardware. Ordering a Mac Pro would get you 20% off.
  6. @incanus77 wow! How's the future? Any flying cars yet?
  7. shooting at Ft. Hood, where my older brother is stationed (http://is.gd/4Og5p). He's OK, fortunately.
  8. @spitgirl no, a total failure in logic. As in, why did I ever think this logic would solve this problem?
  9. my favorite bugs are where I look at the code and wonder "how did this _ever_ work?"
  10. @uliwitness No one uses "staycation" except journalists trying to annoy their audiences.
  11. @lapcat what about car salesmen? How will know if wedgies are safe for use on humans if we don't test??
  12. Pasha: "Me and my little white muzzle are going to get our scritches NOW. That big glowy thing can GET IN LINE."
  13. OK, I might have made that up. But it does make me very conscious about what I say out loud. Never know if the cat's got a Twitter account.
  14. OH: "Ever get that feeling that someone is writing down what you say on Twitter?"
  15. @rands ... a Schwinn?
  16. today is Opposite Day in my code. Writing != when I mean ==, vice versa, and other ! faux paus
  17. @FunkeeMonk haha. I'm not much of a drinker, but, yeah, we should meet up
  18. @FunkeeMonk I'm not in the city, but I'm not too far away (East Bay)
  19. @FunkeeMonk cool. What brings you to our neck of the woods?
  20. trying to modernize this code that I originally wrote for Tigger. Also re: coding style: what was I thinking??
