  1. Fixing up my desktop, hello ubuntu server edition! One of HDs is badly failing, trying to repair it...
  2. Finally! Configured transcoding so that I can stream videos to my PS3 without any issues. It's time to set up a dedicated media server!
  3. Balsamiq.com is very, very good for creating mockups! Even their free online tool is great, has import/export and save as png/pdf #cscwuvic
  4. Good folks at twitter approved my request to increase api request limits! Woohoo.
  5. Wrote a script to tell me how many of whose messages you'll see on your twitter home page, but I can't use it for myself b/c of api limits..
  6. Oh, never mind. I guess @twitter changed something in the way their API works, changed url slightly and it's all good again...
  7. @twitter Social Graph api methods (getting friends&followers) is wacky right now, requiring auth for unprotected users.. Someone, fix this?
  8. Watched @kn0thing's talk @ Startup Bootcamp at MIT (I think?), good stuff! http://www.youtube.com/watc...
  9. Impressions of America by Oscar Wilde, http://is.gd/51pl5 - Wilde's writing starts on page 21.
  10. Stephen Fry talking about his journey accross America on RadioWest, fascinating program http://is.gd/51kvx
  11. Ugh, lying ill in bed, just when it felt I was getting better...
  12. Damn, Skype spam! Where did you come from? I don't remember publicizing my Skype username publicly...
  13. So I asked Twitter to lift my API limits, hopefully they'll agree! Can't really use my little analytical app with just 150 req's per hour :(
  14. @_sjs I'll post a high definition picture of my view on the lagoon tomorrow, maybe you'll make out your house :-)
  15. @_sjs exactly. You can "store" strings in different non-opened url tabs in Chrome, but they'll be lost in Safari once you switch b/n tabs
  16. @_sjs safari - small things bug me, mostly how the URL bar behaves - it pretty much only understands urls and even that has some issues
  17. @_sjs ah, cool! That is quite a commute :-) We can probably see each other's houses, too - mine's on a hill @ http://is.gd/50LFy
  18. Ugh, Safari is one of the dumbest browsers out there :/
  19. @_sjs Thanks :-) it's been too damn depressing to go outside lately, everything's gone gray.
  20. @_sjs great view! I don't recognize this though, where is it in Victoria?
