@ Perhaps Mott the Hoople is similar to Jabba the Hutt? If you google Hoople, you'll find it's a town in N.Dakota & is an acronym

@ Correction: According to Wikipedia, Jonanthan Harris was in Space Academy which Jason was a spin-off of, but Doohan was in it.
