  1. @jmoo2 well sourcing the products is not too hard. finding the right rental price and other offers will be the key to making it work
  2. @jmoo2 thanks for the recommendation. i think i might do it, in Australia
  3. @nwNeobond grace period is pretty cool, but it means you would have paid full price originally. seems a bit too much to "try" something
  4. @artfuldodga TV is a good one, but I was thinking of starting out smaller. ex. mobile phones + cameras.
  5. @artfuldodga well i'm thinking if its been excessively damaged you get charged to buy it outright and then own it
  6. idea: would people pay a small amount of money to "try out" phones, gadget for a couple days? thus, very short term rentals.
  7. @Liyster actually Netspace is organizing it for me, but they use Telstra technicians. haven't got as far as booking a date yet.
  8. @mat_tay that's true, although i'd say the pain of waiting a couple weeks is about $1.
  9. @markmario i demanded the tree to pay for the damages, but it just swayed.
  10. @Keith_Combs copper. we don't have fiber service yet, 100mbit FTTP is coming within a few years.
  11. @markmario actually, the phone line has been severed by a tree. damn nature!
  12. @markmario naked ADSL is an option, but you still need a functional telephone line for it to work
  13. i didn't know it costs $300 to get a new telephone line connected from the street pole from Telstra. now I do. :(
  14. @yertmedia the place i'm moving to does not have an active phone connection. getting that and ADSL2 connected will take 3-4 weeks :(
  15. moved home, going to be about 3-4 weeks without proper ADSL internet :(
  16. took this picture of the Walt Disney Concert Hall, makes a pretty good wallpaper http://is.gd/50LMf
  17. its disappointing to see people can still be so ignorant about XP vs Vista/7 like this http://is.gd/50KGx
  18. @elitistsnob taking over the world is hard work. I was flying back from pdc09
  19. http://twitpic.com/qfszr - taxing in melbourne
  20. woot. Landed in melbourne, bumpy but here at last. Area surrounds airport looks nearly flooded.
