  8. The Meat Hook was selling 3 meat chile at the Flea on Saturday-- plenty of spice, hearty beans, and heat! They'll be at New Amterdam Mkt Sun

  10. Cooking dinner for Richert-- herbed polenta with rosemary and sage from my window boxes, tomatoes, onions and greens from ft. greene mkt.
  11. Just home from Manhattan Cocktail Classic-- truly classic on Fifth Ave., ladies in black, shakers par tous, sugared rims, and plenty a' rum
  12. Got carried away saucing tomatoes and making a killer corn chowder last night. Tomato seeds on my boots. Can barely keep my eyes open.

  14. Green zebra tomatoes a la Wilklow Orchards. Perfect September day in BK involved Ft. Greene market, Prospect Park, and dinner on the roof.
