  1. @Thaedydal Wookie Hole is actually quite nice- and not too far from Glastonbury. Still, wouldn't live in the UK for all the tea in China ;-)
  2. @bpal Brian!
  3. is home and about to collapse.
  4. Queued at gate, starting to think buying eight heavy books was a bad idea. But €5 for priority boarding was definitely a good idea
  5. Noooo! My flight has been delayed by 45 mins. I just want to get home now without completely losing my mind D:
  6. Manchester Airport aka giant shopping mall from hell. Hit motherlode in bookshop- both my Pratchett and Gaiman collections greatly expanded
  7. I'm more than ready to go home now, but have a long day ahead with waiting in airports and such.
  8. Bewley's Hotel in Manchester is stingy with the coffee for a Bewley's. Jeez. Four packets is nothing like enough
  9. @Ibex67 A vocalist's masterclass. I wouldn't have believed I was good enough.
  10. I'm starting to understand why a friend who lives near here calls Manchester "Manky".
  11. Irish trains are better than English. In fact, I think Ireland is better than England in general. (Can you tell I'm sick of travelling now?)
  12. Shrewsbury is actully kind of a hole, & smells of pee. In the train station listening to "Trains" by Porcupine Tree, courtesy of @kiptripsyc
  13. Oh cool! "Welcome to Shrewsbury, birthplace of Charles Darwin." This part of England is so...English.
  14. It's just begun to sink in that Abbie said I'm ready for Masterclass. Seriously! Masterclass! That's the workshop real professionals take!
  15. On the bus on my way away from Ludlow. A brilliant weekend, feel like crying because it's over
  16. Finally escaped. Have been having a good time but too much socialising exhausts me. Shower and bed now
  17. I want to go to bed but they keep singing on and I can't sneak out without being rude. Not that tweeting in a roomful of people isn't rude
  18. @paper_hand According to Wikipedia it's English, dating from Chaucer's time
  19. @paper_hand apple pie is more British than American, you know
  20. @AFineFrenzy I'm about to cover "Minnow & the Trout" at a dinner with Maddy Prior of Steeleye Span. Hope I'll do your lovely song justice!
