  1. It's so frustrating that in Plano, TX it's impossible to sell Middlesex. Still, did convince a reader to try Christopher Moore. Baby steps.
  2. A Barbara Samuel tweet reminds me - I hand-sold Coehlo's Fifth Mountain Fri night, along with JD Robb's first two, & last copy of Soulless.
  3. @ElizabethHoyt Feel better...turn off your computer and take a nap!
  4. Participating on FB on a month-long gratitude project courtesy of Susan Wiggs. Finding it helpful to focus on SOMETHING positive daily.
  5. Kindred in Death. May be the weakest "family" book in the series but as the story progressed, riveting suspense. Not really recommendable.
  6. Finding Kindred in Death more than a little dry; missing the cameraderie, so watching TiVo'd "V" instead.
  7. Wondering about the lawsuit against B&N for Nook. The devices LOOK similar, but believe my employer is on the up an up.
  8. "Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail..." ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson
  9. Already on my calendar for March 23, 2010: new Christopher Moore book!
  10. Even after almost a year of odd hours, starting work at seven at night seems strange.
  11. The world according to Rush: “Moderates by definition have no principles”...huh?
  12. Say it ain't so, Crooks & Liars: Nearly half of U.S. children [90% of black kids] will be on food stamps at some point during childhood.
  13. 45 of the most boring game ever...three minutes of the most exciting as mavs came back from 15 points behind to win by ten.
  14. So much razzle dazzle at basketball game I am getting ADD. Cuban owns HDTV network, which explains this year's huge screen explosion.
  15. 2 of the books I reviewed for PW & submitted as among the year's best made it onto the final list: Soulless and Captive of Sin. Very kewl.
  16. Word to the wise: Chrome is sometimes very funky.
  17. @meljean It'll all work out. Just take a deep breath and walk away from your computer for a little while. Get a hug. Have a cup of coffee.
  18. @AAR_Rachel I think it's because of what we're taught in school. Until I watched The War on PBS, my knowledge of the western theater sucked.
  19. Oops... Make that Next Iron Chef.
  20. Anyone else happy to see Chef Applebaum get the boot on Next Food Network Star?
