  1. Nice! Rather ambitious ideas for fixing capitalism: http://pietersz.co.uk/2009/... - RT @glynmoody
  2. @nzkoz I believe there's an ImageMagick GUI application which is compiled against them - type "display" at your command prompt. #oldskule
  3. I'm not a fan of Silverlight. Not at all. This is why forward looking devs shouldn't be either: http://tinyurl.com/yexjjmy
  4. #kimhill also doesn't appear to have heard of Hitler's "Big Lie"... A conspiracy theory is worthy of ridicule until it's shown to be truth.
  5. I think Richard Gage got unfairly short shrift from Kim Hill. Writing her feedback now. She clearly hasn't heard of PNAC.
  6. Sucking down a twisted hop IPA with @kayakr @lake @zxombie and others. Bliss.
  7. @brettroberts pretty sure - that came earlier :) The nonono was when he'd had enough...
  8. Wow, doesn't look good for #IE9 - there are *hundreds* of comments like this: http://tinyurl.com/ydm2s64
  9. @brettroberts thanks Brett. Yep, amazing - and the developmental leaps are accelerating. First intelligible words last night: nononono!
  10. Our wee boy, Seb, just took his first steps! (well, two steps, but his dismount was impeccable!)
  11. @serenare I once heard this definition of "dirt" as in "dirty": anything not in the right place. Sounds like weed is a special case.
  12. @nathanm doesn't look like #IE9 is winning many hearts and minds if you look here: http://tinyurl.com/yft9kmc Advice: Webkit.
  13. Sorry @freitasm - meant: compromising ideals for expedience is a very slippery slope. Everyone needs to decide where s/he sits w/ideals.
  14. @freitasm um, the "best tool for the job" involves much more what works right now. Compromising your ideals for expedience = #FAIL.
  15. I thought I'd heard that MS were developing a new #Webkit-based browser and deprecating #IE - where's that got to? Anyone know?
  16. Wow, scathing comments on #IE9. When will MS learn. Support *open* web stds, not Silverlight and ActiveX bs. http://tinyurl.com/yft9kmc
  17. @freitasm very few people seem to even understand the purpose of indicating. NZ is the land of poorly trained drivers, for the most part.
  18. @brettroberts interesting - on this same site, IE use is 50% almost exactly. FF is 26%, Safari is 18%. Vs. 2008, MS use is sharply down
  19. @brettroberts fair enough - although I think there're demographic relationships - e.g. a lower % of Linux users are, say, rugby fans
  20. @brettroberts that said, in the past month, it's also 21% Mac and 76% Windows... on 20k visits.
