  1. Jersey Journal didn't acknowledge my e-mail about Cupo & US flag, didn't run story, yet next day Cupo installs new flag. Quality journalism!
  2. Another Sunday, another deadline. I admit, I'm enjoying this. And no if you dont want me to interview you when I ask dont come asking later.
  3. New post, chocolate show standouts: http://tinyurl.com/ygbmd5x
  4. If you do go, R-S bacon butter crunch, Boissier fruit and floral petals, and Guido's saffron pistachio truffles and gianduja stand out.
  5. Chocolate Show not worth the price of admission this year, usual stand-outs nowhere to be found. Boissier, Guido Obino, Roni-Sue best of it.
  6. Great bargain Dirt Candy anniversary dinner, spent more on wine than food.
  7. Forthcoming NYT article on food truck is focused on BBQ, not Jersey City.
  8. Tequila shots and previewing new menu items at lunch in Jersey City today. So excited for an Indian take on chicken fried steak.
  9. Just got a reservation for Dirt Candy's birthday dinner thanks to last minute cancellation.
  10. Dont know if its an energy or the economy but seems like food bloggers are closing shop merging or advancing rapidly of late. No complaints!
  11. My own fault for not pitching Times dining section. Can't believe they're doing a story on JC food trucks. But good news nonetheless.
  12. Excited to see what a state opt-out public option does for the NJ and VA gov races.
  13. "I'm on this high road and I don't see any fucking foliage."
  14. Considering I wrote this under heavy duress at 4am this morning, credit as always goes to my brilliant editor: http://bit.ly/1BAJI4
  15. If someone anonymously blogged mean shit about you then you discovered their Soho House waitress turned lawyer identity, do you out them?
  16. I just solved one of those hipster mysteries like on Bored to Death. Feeling so proud.
  17. Watching episodes of Cake Boss for the first time. Either show is staged or the Hoboken Family Alliance is very poorly run.
  18. Dinner at Beard House done. Very Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil. Maybe I'll write for Town & Country next? Movin' on up.
  19. Life Vicarious readers, you should all be following @chilltownlunch and reading http://www.chilltownlunch.com our new daily NJ dining blog.
  20. @alessandrita So we're going to the parade?
