  1. Come by UNC Health Sciences Library to see a square of the AIDS Quilt. Impressive, inspiring, and sad all at once. #WorldAIDSDay #unchsl
  2. @smalljones turnabout is fair play!
  3. Proxy server died, but is now resurrected. Try closing your browser and reopen - databases should then work. #unchsl
  4. Our database links are not working properly for all users - it's hit or miss right now. Known problem, no solution yet. Sorry! #unchsl
  5. Today: quarterly report, AACP leadership telecon, seminar on IF in P/T evaluations (use article-level metrics instead), catchup on email.
  6. @jpom Sorry I lied, it's 2.20 citations/year for your highest (still good for LIS!). A Linguistic Analysis of Question Taxonomies. JASIST
  7. Bwahaha @timbray hates Flash. Librarians like @bartman love it. #mlamobile
  8. #mlamobile I officially hate the faux Ipod display for the videos. It's small and crooked.
  9. I love my Asus Eee - took it to #asist09 this year and it worked great. Strongly recommend as a good mobile laptop. #mlamobile
  10. @mellanye Agreed. Is there a reason why the slides are slanted and small? (Other than "it's cool to put it on an "Ipod"?)
  11. yay @hurstej!
  12. @shamsha We're losing connection altogether every once in a while. Everything ok at #mlamobile?
  13. #mlamobile prediscussion in 15 mins. Glad to see @hurstej is making it to the big time!
  14. @jpom It depends (of course) on whether you use ISI or Google Scholar. Your best article in ISI is a 2.62 citations/year. Not bad!
  15. @jpom I have discovered that there are at least two other J Pomerantz people floating around. Marchionini is too senior for my point.
  16. @jpom only concern is that I'll be showing how to calculate your "personal impact" using ISI stats, so your citations will be shown to all.
  17. Hey @jpom, will you be offended if I use you as my example in my Impact Factor talk Thurs? I need a unique lastname, recently tenured.
  18. No one's @ ofc hours so I'm reading "A Principle Component Analysis of 39 Scientific Impact Measures" (http://bit.ly/3H7OIT) in PlosONE.
  19. Article by Neylon&Wu (PlosBio e10000242) ref's @Ravelry as ex of successful online community. 2nd ref in a week from my professional world.
  20. No takers in ofc hours so far. Now up: Prep for Impact Factors talk. Tx @BoraZ for PLoS Bio article by Cameron. Perfect timing!
