  1. Caller was thankful for an editorial. Those are the calls I always am happy to take.
  2. Just read Maureen Dowd's column on Twitter. Hilarious. It'll be in the P-D tomorrow.
  3. Leaving. From here, I'm going to the Holiday Pageant at my daughter's school. It's always beautiful.
  4. Now putting out the Saturday Short Take. It's our once-a-week attempt at irreverence.
  5. Preparing Monday and then blogging letters. And still trying to get over this minor flu (or major cold).
  6. Preparing Sunday letters. As we move closer to a holiday, I work more and more in advance. I hope to get Sunday and Monday done today.
  7. Reading letters. Letter submission is slow this time of year, but what comes is usually is good.

  9. Looking for the last few states. Please call Florida!

  11. also, eating vito's pizza, which, despite the horrid wait for the called-in pizza, is the best there is.
  12. have four websites up to track election results. is that too much?
  13. overindulging in reports from kentucky and indiana. oh, and working on thursday letters.
  14. Seriously can't stop refreshing certain electoral map and election news pages. Worst day of the election cycle for an obsessive.
  15. finishing up sunday letters. co-workers with young kids want to get home early for halloween fun. who could blame them?
  16. Of course, it would be easier if the blog software weren't buggy. But, that is out of my control, so I don't worry about it.
  17. two more letters to post, and then heading out to a roast of a retiring colleague.

  19. Proofreading Friday editorials. And then blogging. I always procrastinate blogging.
  20. I am beginning to compile Saturday letters, the last of the pre-election letters. It will be interesting to read the post-election letters.
