  7. @timpugh4cr If everyone has a vested interest in government, why did 70% of CR's voters avoid giving their opinions at the polls on Nov 3rd?
  8. @timpugh4cr Gov employees pay taxes, receive tax dollars (wages), deliver gov services, receive gov services. Who has more vested interest?
  9. Is it safe to assume that the people most affected by school board and city elections are the people employed by schools and cities?
  10. How many City of CR employees voted in any 11/3 city elections? I'll let you know once the votes are credited and compared to employees.
  11. How many Linn-Mar School employees voted in any 9/8 school board elections? 151 of 1439 or 10.49% Linn-Mar voter turnout = 3.5%
  12. How many Alburnett School employees voted in the 9/8 school board elections? 38 of 157 or 24.20% Alburnett voter turnout = 15.1%
  13. Public hearing on Corridor Plan has concluded. About 10 spoke in opposition. Mayor Rehn did a great job. Democracy in action!
  14. @timpugh4cr I'm not weighing on the Plan - just listening. All of the speakers - pro / con - very civil and disciplined with their remarks.
  15. Attorney for Affordable Auto: 1200 voted in Tuesday's Marion city election and Council has recd petition w/1200 sigs opposing Corridor Plan.
