  5. Was extra Chinese-y today, and purchased an electric hot pot, fish balls and taro cake in San Gabriel.

  7. Received a "you're a terrible mother" lecture from older Asian lady while standing in H1N1 line today.
  8. If LA traffic was a person, I might slap him/her in the face right now.
  9. Mission: host family Thanksgiving, and stuff everyone with massive quantities of food, AND send them home with leftovers. Complete.
  10. Christmas came to our house early this year: tree, lights, the works. And if you stop by, it's likely that we'll serve you some spicy cider.
  11. @thescamel hurry down! Scoops, Korean BBQ and Aaron are all waiting for you.
  12. @futuretra Steve and I have been digging pumpkin cheesecake muffins...let me know if you want the recipe.
  13. I have already roasted two turkeys, baked one ham, made four pies...and Thanksgiving is still a week away.
  14. Magical instant-thawing turkey would be a great invention right about now.
  15. Aaron discovered the fun of spitting out his food. I discovered pureed carrots stain everything.
  16. Sitting next to Kim Raver (actress in 24, Lipstick Jungle, Grey's) at Intelligentsia in Silverlake.
  17. Goal of the Week: eat up everything in the freezer to make room for turkey.
  18. What's IN this maple pecan scone at Intelligentsia? I swear they must add crack cocaine. I've eaten half, and already want another one.
  19. Aaron is 6 months old today. We gave him his first taste of solid food (rice cereal) to celebrate.
  20. Just realized Tucson is pronounced "too-sawn." Always thought those were two different places. Now my head is about to explode.
