  1. Last night's Dateline covered a suspicious accident on Chalk Creek--I go there several times each summer. Mystery in the mountains!
  2. Art show downtown today, maybe I'll buy something OTHER than yarn. The yarn buying's gone overboard--there's about 8 lbs. of it to wind.
  3. Such a rare and successful shopping day was capped by finding a new lys. Fall Ik secured!
  4. Forgot to say that I just had the greatest dinner ever. Olathe sweet corn is the best1 Now absolutely must go and knit and stuff,
  5. Want to tweet, but too much more fun stuff to do. Really worked hard this week, it is time to play.
  6. Finishing the hip increases on my quickie sweater knitting project. Thinking about going yarn shopping. A great day so far!
  7. Finished the yoke, ran out of the main yarn, used bright olive, I think it will work. Wait 'til you see the 'burro' races. Unbelievable!
  8. Tempted to finish the yoke on the Leaf Yoke top I started yesterday, but need to get out to the burro races. Gorgeous day won't last.
  9. Ok, back to normal boring routine. I hope the blog behaves now, or I may leave off posting altogether. Not before I post a pattern, tho!
  10. More hiking, soaking in the hot springs, and a surprising amount of knitting fit in today.
  11. Rafting, hiking, yarn shopping, too busy to knit.
  12. Wondering why I've seen 2 different women in 2 different cars being very sick in 24 hours. Drunk or flu? I hope it's not an epidemic.
  13. Spent yesterday searching for sweater buttons and the headless chicken statue. Who knows what today will bring?
  14. Farmer's Market and Art galleries today. My latest sweater-in-progress came off the blocking board for finishing. Looks great!
  15. Scored cute quilted wall hanging at the quilt show yesterday. 36" x 24", log cabin in snowy forest, just $25! What a kick!
  16. Boat races over, laundry done, extra lbs. from trip almost gone, looks like life is back to boring. Time to get ready for next trip.
  17. Piles of laundy to do, but I'm heading out to the parade and the boat races instead.
  18. Tried a 9-inch circular sock needle yesterday. Crampy-feeling, with tiny 2" long needles. Not giving up my dpns. May work for hems.
  19. Heard So Brave, So Young, So Handsome by Leif Enger (audiobook version). Good cowboy-adventure novel.
  20. Just put pic of sock wip at http://tinyurl.com/mtbw2a. Probably look better in a stretchier yarn. but I like thin socks.
