  1. Homemade chicken soup for dinner tonight, with homemade stock we did yesterday. Yum! Nice autumn supper!
  2. Criminy. They already canceled my access to work email and to the payroll website. They don't waste any time.
  3. @Cycling_Chef Not yet, not yet. My last day at the old job was Monday, I start anew in November. Hooray!
  4. @rubyringz Thanks! So does the "too" mean you have a new job as well?
  5. Regrouping after my last week at work. Two weeks off before the new job starts!
  6. @Cycling_Chef I'm pretty sure you'll love it! Maybe we can compare notes.
  7. Off to have lunch and play with kids/grandkids! The sun is actually shining today.
  8. Thunder again! We're about to get dumped on yet another time today.
  9. Still updating photos, but tedium relieved by the martini that my Martini Guy just handed me!
  10. Working on the very tedious job of moving hundreds of blog photos from typepad to the new blog home.
  11. I made the leap to a new blog home! The Knitting Doctor is now "in" at http://theknittingdoctor.com/
  12. @Cycling_Chef And tonight's dinner is chicken and sausage gumbo! I'll take photos.
  13. Missouri Dry Rub and mop sauce done in preparation for barbecued ribs tomorrow. Yum! Out comes the smoker!
  14. New blog post up! Pork chops and chanterelles for supper, and a finished knitting project! http://bit.ly/2Qh9lB
  15. Back from a community meeting at the police dept about a chronically noisy neighbor. Not much we can do, is the bottom line. Dang.
  16. Just finished upgrading Elmo the Mac to Snow Leopard. Only a couple minor glitches with needing to upgrade other software so far.
  17. Left work early because of the blasted sprained ankle. Walking miles a day on crutches is not fun. Off to put my foot up and knit!
  18. @baclancy Oooh, does that mean I get two??
  19. Oh great. A very long work day on crutches for the gimpy ankle. My husband just offered me a gin and tonic, think I'll take him up on it.
  20. @Cycling_Chef Hopefully the cheese wasn't melted into fondue by the time you found it!
