  1. Winter solstice makes me think that spring and summer are just around the corner- The mere fact that days are getting longer makes me happy
  2. It's fitting that winter solstice is so close to Christmas day. They both symbolize the same thing . . . HOPE
  3. Woke up to snow again. Can't say that I mind it now that the temperatures are mild.
  4. Got in a great run in beautiful weather. Dash was just happy to be there. That's 4 runs in 6 days.
  5. Finally escaped the dense fog of this swine flu after almost a week. Hopefully, I can think a little more clearly today.
  6. Another SGM (St Seorge Marathon) in the bag. Not my best effort since I have been running, but it easily equaled my training efforts ;-)
  7. Today's morning run actually felt good. I was awake and everything.
  8. Long run on Saturday followed by soccer and honey-dos. Not a bad weekend.
  9. Just trying to catch up from the Labor Day weekend. Getting a day off is supposed to make life better- every now and then it makes it harder

  11. Great to have my girls back home. Had a great run this morning and am off to see my girls HS soccer game against West High.
  12. Just saw Star Trek last night! Two thumbs way way up. Best movie I've seen in years.
  13. Proud father of 2 high school varsity soccer players!
  14. Had a great backpacking trip into the High Uintas with my girls and some friends. Felt good to get out in such beautiful country.
  15. Now what am I going to do with all of my time now that the Tour de France is over? Guess I'll just have to get out and ride.

  18. Beautiful 11 mile run in perfect weather then filled the rest of the day with "honey-do's"
  19. Back to running again after the Ragnar Relay. Can't wait till July 4th -- Start of the Tour de France. Alex, age 8, reminds me every day.
  20. Slogged through a tired run this morning. Need more sleep. Need Dash to get trained before he gets hit by a car or I give him away.
