  1. there's nothing more demeaning than hearing someone intentionally speak in a fashion that isn't their own (Hillary Clinton & Sarah Palin)
  2. one use of privacy features in FF & Chrome is to use them to log into a site that you are already logged into (without logging out) Gmail
  3. most users have way more CPU power than they need- of course theyll never realize that with anti-virus & corporate spyware killing their CPU
  4. I think devices like Netbooks are the future. Gives users enough power to use web based tools but not too much power
  5. some no so obvious things in Wave: spacebar takes you to the next thing that changed & you can edit other ppls posts (like a Wiki)
  6. @mirzahassan no, but Google uses a ton of OSS and shows what good software engineering + OSS is capable of
  7. from my memory, Willie Nelson hasn't aged- it's as if he's Benjamin Button and hasn't aged one day

  9. somehow I think if Microsoft had come up with ColdFusion that it would have a huge following and have as many implementations as SharePoint

  12. I see why Microsoft technologists are afraid of OSS & Google. Once you see what OSS is capable of, it makes you question your own work

  14. with Windows7 out that Microsoft has probably ratcheted up the "Microsoft tax" on PCs due to increased demand. Chrome OS to the rescue
  15. @pseale there's about 2-3 MS products a year that they cancel, which makes me happy I'm somewhat of a late adopter to MS tech #vaporware

  19. crap- to find public Waves just type (next to New Wave) "with:public" or for something interesting "with:public oslo"
  20. as a programmer "stupid users" aren't a problem and they're not stupid. I find "stupid programmers" to be a bigger risk
