One ridiculous tie-up on Page after another. Argh! Is this because it's WINDY?

Timing of lites bad on Page from Lindbergh to Warson. Grrr.
If only every drive to work could be like today's drive to work.
6:40pm, enormous back up on 44wb near Elm. Fabulous. And my 1st attempt on this route home.
Wife reports 25min from Powell Hall to 141 on 44. I'll try that route tonight. But my guess? 40min from the office to home.
Was gonna try 44 home, but crazy downtown traffic to the Hannah Montana concert sent me back to the regular route. Sheesh.
Page, with fewer lites this a.m. Still took 40 min. to get to work. Realizing that 40 min is the now the magic number. *sigh*
From 170: Page/Bennington/FeeFee to Olive - 16 traffic lites. Stopped by only one tonite. 33% reduction in lites vs Olive to 170. A winner?
24 traffic lights, Fee Fee to 170 on Olive. Got stopped by only 2. Leaving at 9a was great. Next: Counting lights on Page.
wow. Does Olive always suck this bad at 5:30? A parking lot since FeeFee both ways and i'm going east!
New route to Ellisville (44/Big Bend/New Ballwin/Kiefer Creek) wasn't any faster, but more interesting.

In a little while, trying new route from downtown to choir practice in Ellisville. Thanks, @eatants2! Wish me luck.
First glitch: Un-ID'd backup just west of 170 on Olive. No problem. U-turn, 170 to Page. I think there might be fewer lites on Page anyway.
Counted 4 McDonald's on my drive this morning; 6 grocers; 11 churches; 23 banks. Had to do something to kill 39 minutes.
Impressive how well the lights are timed on Olive. Only stopped four times.
Hey, Xtera w/Calif plates on Olive: I hit Mason at the same time as you, and didn't have to tailgate everyone. Jerk.
I honestly cannot believe how easy my commute is today. http://tinyurl.com/28273d
Take that back: Clayton@Lindbergh was a breeze-and the former 40/Lndbgh overpass is abuzz w/activity. NOW, we're seeing some serious work.
Hmm. Clayton at Ballas is a lot busier as cars line up to head north...to 40. Seems to be backing up way before Lindbergh too.
