  1. @BMW OH GOD! MY EYES!!! What's wrong with you?!There should definitely have been an NSFW in there... :D
  2. @jerwilkins We're talking #tldbabel :)
  3. @jerwilkins Possibly, however, I feel that commonalities will appear. Current TLDs have lost their descriptive abilities. --url_shorteners?
  4. @zedshaw Wanna make a dpaste of the first cut? My interest has been piqued...
  5. @mama_j That's true, however, I think it'll help separate the cats from the herd. The internet (like the universe) has a way of working out.
  6. You can find a rather negative article about the new TLD options on Slate (http://bit.ly/13oG9Z)
  7. Proposal by ICANN to allow any TLD is very interesting. Sort of a babel-like event for internet naming. Branding will have to evolve.
  8. @bmw I just got a new USB missile launcher, but I broke the cord! #shamelessplug
  9. @BMW Also, #shamelessplug needs to be a hashtag -- so many possible uses.
  10. @BMW #TurnMySwagOn is a hip-hop phrase, where "Swag" is short for "Swagger". "To get one's confidence up" would be an appropriate definition
  11. Tweetocolypse: When you wake up to discover that #TurnMySwagOn is a trending tag. Following @bmw's lead: #sigh.
  12. @aweiss Good observation!
  13. Normally I'm not a gamer, but assassins creed for iPhone kicks ass. Can't even believe the graphics.
  14. @StevenWalling it's not just you. Quote from unrelated Wired article about Newsom: "I start where Barack left off"
  15. Did Gavin Newsom say "fuck portland" in that video? Hahahahah!
  16. Semi-official electric car race between SF and Portland!! http://bit.ly/19HxZp
  17. Excellent explanation of the recent GAE (Google App Engine) outage: http://bit.ly/HbpN2 I like that Google PR allows technical explanations.
  18. It has been a busy night! Lots of CRM/FRM (Client/Friend Relationship Management). Gonna try to attack a blog post, and a pile of email next
  19. @zedshaw Excellent ambition. I think you'd make a great professor, personally. The state of CS education is abysmal.
  20. @zedshaw But in your heart of hearts, what would you *like* to be working on? i.e. what gets you most excited as a programmer?
