  1. @PhilGeek I would like to read that paper. Am hoping to do some work on this myself at some point (unless QC persuades me otherwise!).
  2. @PhilGeek I'm not averse to the odd "mutatis mutandis", but one can have too much of a good thing. ;)
  3. @andr0092 I'm sure it is, although watching the first couple of episodes I couldn't help being reminded of http://tinyurl.com/y9jo4lu :)
  4. Dear @Twitter, it would be great if favourites worked more like retweets for easier browsing. Kthxbye.
  5. Started watching LOST Season 5 today. Corny, but intriguing.
  6. @carlbaker My supervisor and progress committee seem to be giving me a kind of good-cop/bad-cop routine, which isn't very helpful really.
  7. @iainharper It's a Romanesco cauliflower. Rather tasty actually! http://tinyurl.com/29gv5v
  8. Surprised to discover that I'm ranked 11th most "influential" philosophy Tweeter on WeFollow. http://tinyurl.com/m55jvf
  9. @carlbaker Twice a year. How have yours been so far?
  10. @philosophybites Re. the Apple tablet, the answer is both!
  11. @thomas_hodgson @DanCT Warwick reviews seem quite formal and less constructive than what you describe. I agree with Tom re deadlines though.
  12. @joehewitt Private APIs are subject to change or not ready for prime time. They don't belong in a public app except as proof of concept.
  13. (To be fair, their rendition of Echoes, The Great Gig In the Sky and Shine on You Crazy Diamond kicked serious ass!)
  14. At a Think Floyd gig in Leamington Spa. Some tired old rockers playing to geriatrics. So pretty close to the original then. ;)
  15. How do folks at other unis find the PhD review process? Experience at #warwickuni seems to be almost universally negative.
  16. Finally upgraded to Tweetie 2.0. Not much different from 1.0 but with some UI tweaks. I look forward to list and retweet support though.
  17. RT @ezra_brooks: What Problems Does Google Wave Solve? http://bit.ly/23B0SA (HT @addictedtotext )
  18. @Rashbrook Yes, that's the one. Ah well, look on the bright side. At least you don't have to go to many more of them!
  19. Emerged from my second GPC progress meeting feeling confused and demoralised. Am starting to sense a pattern emerging...
  20. @rob_cornelius Seriously? That's awesome! :D
