  4. Grad student Ryan Gold defended his Ph.D. dissertation today: Slip history of the Altyn Tagh Fault. 1st defense in the new Geology bldg!
  5. The SCEC presentation was a huge success; scores of earth scientists got to try our portable visualization system, based on a 3D-enabled TV.

  7. KeckCAVES scientists will present (and demonstrate our technology) at the upcoming Southern California Earthquake Center annual meeting.
  8. A group of Berkeley scientists used the CAVE to explore Earth's mantle beneath western North America, using new EarthScope data.
  9. KeckCAVES hosted 60+ high school students from UC's COSMOS Program - they interacted with molecules, followed earthquakes, and more.
  10. Coming up: COSMOS: http://cosmos.ucdavis.edu/ High school students use the CAVE to learn about climate change, chemistry of life, and more!
  11. Summer in the CAVE: Cool, and virtual. We'll be working on LIDAR, nonlinear dynamics, and other projects
  12. A low-cost "personal CAVE" is now possible. Keep an eye out for further instructions later this summer.
  13. KeckCAVES congratulates our graduates, who received their Ph.D.s yesterday. Great job, Drs!
