  1. @AnniesAnnuals ~ It's hard not to geek out about them. It's like entering Lilliputian land. I don't know much about magic loop.
  2. @AnniesAnnuals ~ It took ages to figure out the kitchener stitch. Found a book that had a good explanation. The tiny needles are adorable.
  3. @WildeThymeKnits ~ Hope you feel better soon.
  4. Wouldn't it be wonderful if there was only one system for classifying knitting needle sizes? Hurts my brain trying to figure them out.
  5. Watching the news ~ a feature on bedbugs is making my right knuckles itch.
  6. Check out the push/pull lawnmower pictured on cover of Virgins, Weeders & Queens. http://pic.gd/afd9f1
  7. Sometime I'd love to visit the Cambridge Botanic Garden Library. Maybe in another life ...
  8. @AnniesAnnuals ~ Thanks for the tip to soften Noro. The colours are so beautiful ~ I especially love the way socks look.
  9. @AnniesAnnuals ~ I should try making knucks. I'd love doing the fingers. Those dpns are so much fun. Have a lovely collection of them now.
  10. @AnnieinAustin ~ ROLF ~ now that's a good one. Love the "flashemosa". That would be about right.
  11. Dug up the last of the Dahlia tubers. Glad for these past warm days.
  12. @AnniesAnnuals ~ I'm in Regina, Saskatchewan Canada ~
  13. @AnniesAnnuals ~ I love the softness of malabrigo for mittens. Will try making a hat with it. Am stuck on Noro lately, but find it scratchy.
  14. @AnniesAnnuals I love knucks, but have yet to make a pair, mostly because it gets so cold here in winter. I'd end up freezing my fingertips
  15. @torontogardens ~ That's why I'm sticking with small things. Whenever I've started on a sweater, I abandon it & knitting about halfway thru.
  16. @AnnieinAustin ~ Maybe Cohosh would be a perfect name for my latest slightly off-centre hat conceived in a moment of menopausal madness.
  17. @OurLittleAcre ~ Looks like meadowrue to me rather than cohosh.
  18. @AnniesAnnuals ~ I have a lot of malabrigo waiting to be used. Just knit 1st mittens. 1 thumb twice the size of the other. Hats/socks better
  19. @torontogardens ~ That was me until this year when I developed a fascination with double-pointed needles & trying to make hats.
