Tired and fuzzy today. Too much work, disrupted sleep cycle caused by 9 month old, and my team lost the Grey Cup in gut-wrenching style.

I can't believe we lost that game. Too many men on the field on the last play of the game? Are you kidding me?

@ The Als were 15-3 this season. The riders 10-6-1, and played in a lot of close games. But they're scrappy.

@ You're watching the Grey Cup? And cheering the Riders? You've got great taste in football teams.

@ Go Riders indeed! I've been to 3 Grey Cups, including the Riders 2007 win. Great event. This time I'm watching via live webcast.

The 97th Grey Cup is today and my team is in the game. If they win, it'll be their 4th championship since they started playing in 1910.

Today I wrote nearly 3000 words for an academic paper. That means two things: a) it was a good day, b) I'm freaking exhausted.

When I have a lot of work to do (and I do) I love it when I can get up early and be in the flow before 8am (which I did today).

@ Projections about ebooks should think about the Kindle v17.2 (and competitors) not the Kindle v1.4 or wherever it's at now.

@ I'm talking the long term view here (20+ years). Over time, ebooks get more useful, pbooks more valuable and lusted after.

My take on the ebook shift: ebooks will slowly take over the utilitarian and convenience roles; pbooks will become fetish objects

@ I dunno. I haven't thought about it enough. Or at all, really, which is my point. For criticism to work it needs a counterbalance.

@ In addition to asking what's wrong with IA, what about asking what's right? We tend to overlook the positive aspects.

What a great start to the week: my team won and is in the Grey Cup (ie, the Canadian Super Bowl) for the 2nd time in 3 years.

@ Do you need remote access to watch the cup? We could try rigging you up with something.

Watch canadian football playoffs on 17" MBP, over wireless, streaming, proxied through an SSH tunnel to remote machine. Flawless.
