  1. Fantastic dinner at Avec with some Googlers last night: dates w/ chorizo and bacon, brandade, offal pasta, salmon and more. Yum.
  2. I would love to see more cocktails crafted around rum. Just spent 10 days in the Virgin Islands, where rum is king. http://bit.ly/7T0HAe
  3. Picked up our first "Six for $60" sampler from Craig Perman last night. Excited to try his picks! http://bit.ly/8TmGp1
  4. @EllenMalloy I'd love to know!
  5. The Old Fashioned in Madison really speaks to my heart. Wisconsin classics made with quality local ingredients and an all-Wisco beer list.
  6. @EllenMalloy @rebekahdenn Many Restaurant.com certificates have restrictions: day of week, minimum charge, don't apply to alcohol etc
  7. @MLCee You should check out Traders Point Creamery, too. Fantastic yogurt. Haven't tried milk, etc. http://www.traderspointcreamery.com/
  8. 15 Things Worth Knowing About Coffee: http://bit.ly/1sWoDU
  9. The best part about making meatloaf is the leftover sandwiches — slice meatloaf thin, add cheddar, grill on challah bread with mayo.
  10. Food and service at Alinea exceeded all expectations! What more can I say in 140 characters? Amazing.
  11. Missed David Chang talk at Google today but made up for it with a fantastic dinner at NoName café at our offices in Mountain View.
  12. At this time tomorrow we will be wrapping up dinner at Alinea. I'm so excited. Can't wait.
  13. Today's tweets from @PaulKahan and @EllenMaloy have me really excited about Big Star! When are you hoping to open?
  14. RNM was good, not great — food was decent but service lousy. I'll stick with Rosamunde Sausage Grill, just down the street on Haight in SF.
  15. In San Francisco for the week. Having dinner tonight at RNM with my cousin Liz and her boyfriend Michael. Will report!
  16. RT @happy_stomach: 3-hour feast. Taxim hit it out of the ballpark tonight. No one in Chicago doing anything even close to this.
  17. Making lasagna. Using Carmela Soprano's recipe — calls for basil leaves layered with the pasta, sauce and cheeses. http://yfrog.com/7exv0j
  18. Tried Folklore, a new Argentine steakhouse in Wicker Park last night. Just like Tango Sur plus a full bar. Not bad.
  19. @mwtemple The jamon torta is very good and not spicy at all. Also be sure to try the guacamole, hot chocolate and churros!
  20. Just made breakfast sandwiches: bacon, scrambled eggs, parrano cheese, and butter on toasted challah.
