  1. Holy hell, there's a Lionel Ritchie album in our lounge. Someone get me some tongs and a shovel.
  2. Theory: Volvos bought by people prone to colds. Feeling unwell, found myself mulling rental of VC90 for trip. Seemed safe & comforting. Ugh.
  3. Impressed w, quality of U2 streamed gig. Perfectly tolerable in fullscreen on a 15" MBP. Bit turgid on the music front, though.
  4. Will be interesting to see if YouTube/Google's servers are up to livecasting this U2 gig in anything approaching reasonable quality.
  5. I have done nothing that justifies getting a sore throat and I demand that it stop now.
  6. Some arse has a new Wavedrum up on eBay for $1,299. 2X the retail price.
  7. I just saw someone retweet a FollowFriday post because it included them. I'll thank you not to tweeterbate in public.
  8. My tolerance for alcohol appears to have regressed to that of a 14-year-old. Early night for Grandad.
  9. It's like synthesis in stop-motion; also like folding the paper after you draw the head and having someone else continue with the torso.
  10. Working with just a Roland SP404SX and a mic and building sounds through successive stages of resampling with effects is interesting.
  11. Finished reading Coupland's "Generation A" last night. Great, but ends like a short story. Wanted/needed more detailed conclusion.
  12. RT @bengoldacre: Guardian gagged from reporting parliament: ok, this is *seriously* out of hand now http://bit.ly/3dMoUE
  13. Detox. At least a week that bans lots of things ending in -ine and -hol.
  14. If you're going to tag an iPhone AR app due to "mature themes" and "sexual content" you're as good as giving the world the same rating...
  15. "Dog-sodomisingly" is my adverb du jour (it's raining and I'm knackered).
  16. My Wavedrum appears to have shipped two weeks ahead of schedule. [plays air riff in honour of the Electronic Drum Gods]
  17. Saffire's Apollo 11 speech for Nixon. Rupert Brooke crib at end is clumsy, but fascinating as history: http://bit.ly/3lHW7 (via @ryanblock)
  18. Cat has just taken off across the lounge with wheelspin worthy of a 70s car chase scene. Cause: small child miming to Celine Dion on TV.
  19. AudioBoo: Local festival, Naka-Meguro http://boo.fm/b66241
  20. God, the monomachine is such a good bit of kit. Sometimes feel I could sell everything else and get by with it alone.
