  1. @bryanl In Ruby's case projects seem to drive compatibility (Rails, Rack, etc). If a vm wants to be "accepted" it will ensure compatibility.
  2. @bryanl I disagree with it for Ruby. It seems to me that Ruby projects do a good job of saying which implementation works well.
