  1. @agmcleod Ideally we can make Hibernate basically config-free with some Ruby love.
  2. @joshlangner There will be other opportunities :)
  3. @agmcleod Hibernate, despite its bulk and complexity, is a vastly superior ORM. Ruby + Hibernate is a perfect storm.
  4. JRuby talk at #rubyconf in an hour in room 1! 3D games, JVM tooling, scripting MIDI, Android, and Hibernate!
  5. RoR position in sunny Orlando, Florida...JRuby desired! http://is.gd/4WMdz

  8. Finally there's an up-to-date Hpricot 0.8.2 for JRuby (http://is.gd/4ScaC) thanks to @nicksieger and @olabini!
  9. @mikewadhera Thanks for mentioning it...we'll look into it. Probably going to try to migrate to a mostly-static site soon.

  15. JRuby 1.4.0RC3 is released! Lots of Windows fixes and a couple key regressions. http://is.gd/4GqhC
  16. @elight That is correct; anything that can be parsed and compiled ahead of time will be fine, regardless of how it's used after that.
  17. @elight Only if using eval. For mobile, eval might be forbidden, or else we'd have to still ship parser+interpreter.
  18. RT @mattyoho: Groovy's a stop-gap trying to staunch Java's blood loss. JRuby is Ruby on the JVM, many more options
  19. Good news, everybody! rcov, the coverage-reporting gem, now installs easily into JRuby from Gemcutter. Thanks, contribs!
  20. @elight Or compile ahead-of-time, or run interpreted. All are options. Current examples run interpreted.
