  3. 11/23/1809: T. W. Norman called with a Mr Waters, for a Courier's Passport. Visit to Harris. Evening Ball at De Bray's. 3. A.M.
  4. 11/22/1809: Day of leisure, the first since we have been in Russia. Evening visit from Duke de Mondragone, Neapolitan Minister.
  5. 11/21/1809: Cramer went with me to look at Bacheracht's house. Saw afterwards another. We had company to dinner.
  6. 11/20/1809: Morning visit to Six. Evening at the French Ambassador. Caulaincourt's Ball. A children's Ball. Home at 2. A.M.
  7. 11/19/1809: Neva frozen. Heard Mass at the Maltese Palace and visited the Cathedral of St. Alexander Nefsky with Harris. At de Bray's.
  8. 11/18/1809: Mrs Adams ill in bed. Smith and Everett dined at the English Club. Evening visit from Harris. Letter from Jay.
  9. 11/17/1809: Visit from Count Maistre Sardinian Minister. My wife very ill this Evening, Dr. Galloway attended her.
  10. 11/16/1809: Visits. Morning from Navarro, Portuguese Charge d'Affaires. Evening from Bussche-Hunnefeldt, Westphalian Minister.
  11. 11/15/1809: Finished the Diplomatic Visits. Conference with Romanzoff. Dined with Six d'Oterleck the Dutch Minister.
  12. 11/14/1809: Visits with Harris to all the foreign Ministers. Harris dined with us. Romanzoff's Ball given to the Empress Mother.
  13. 11/13/1809: Note to Romanzoff. Walk with Harris. Visit with the Ladies at Countess Litta's. Out. Then at De Bray's.
  14. 11/12/1809: Te Deum for Peace with Austria. Audience of Empress Mother. My wife presented to the Emperor & both Empresses.
  15. 11/11/1809: Removed to the Ville de Bordeaux. Visits from the De Bray's. Evening visit at Countess Litta's with Mrs Adams.
  16. 11/10/1809: Called at Meyer's on the Wasili-Ostrof. Evening visit with my wife and Harris at De Bray, Bavarian Minister's.
  17. 11/9/1809: Visit from Maisonneuve, Master of Ceremonies. Note to Romanzoff to ask Audience of the Empress Mother.
