  1. Been getting a lot of questions about my Flex treemap component lately. I should probably address the bugs gathering dust in the queue.
  2. I've already decided to skip the primary sponsorship on my next Flash web game. Too restrictive, in my opinion.
  3. Wish I could spend more time optimizing my list control for Flash iPhone dev, but I need to move on to other tasks. Good progress, though.
  4. I think I'm starting to get the hang of using cacheAsSurface. Now to see what nice-to-haves I can add without losing the extra performance.
  5. Hacking TouchEvent support into fl.controls.List and removing the scroll bars.
  6. You may have Flash CS4, but is your box signed by a bunch of Adobeans like mine? Didn't think so. #FFFT
  7. The LCCS code is exactly the same in both SWFs, and works great. My only changes were to simplify the UI for the iPhone prototype.
  8. Just finished the first test of a multiplayer game where one player was in the browser and the other was on an iPhone. Connected with LCCS.
  9. Just realized that I run my media center PC like a normal user. That Windows Update icon? Annoying as hell, and I ignore it too often.
  10. @funketyme Yes, with regards to hardware, there's no question, and I do see the connection.
  11. @funketyme It's not like there's a Mac AppStore that everyone is forced to go through. Even iTunes allows generic music. This is new.
  12. iPhone App Store discomfort grows and grows, and everyone is speaking out. http://paulgraham.com/apple...
  13. Noticed a little mouse wheel support courtesy of Flash Player 10.1 in Mac Safari. Finally.
  14. I accommodated a client request that I didn't like, but made the surrounding design better in the process. +1 for both of us.
  15. @johnhattan Yeah, I think fun games like ConFusebox and other puzzles can pick up new players indefinitely.
  16. Catching up on messages from potential licensees for my games. I like that I still see interest from portals many months later.
  17. @chuckstar Two fingers to scroll and four fingers to show Expose are my favorites. I only need a real mouse for certain games.
  18. @campbell It's rather ironic that clip was created with a service that claims, "if you can type, you can make movies".
  19. AS3 tip: Keep [Embed] metadata in separate classes away from commonly edited code to avoid constant re-transcoding and long compile times.
  20. I asked my client several questions so that I can change the design only once. Client answered only one, and it didn't help at all.
