  1. @UndertheFold That's what I like to hear :) Hope you enjoy it!
  2. Also, today's Manning "pop quiz" features a C# question: http://www.manning.com/popq... - end of marketing messages :)
  3. Gosh, I nearly forgot to tweet: 50% off all Manning Microsoft and .NET books today. Code: pop1123.
  4. @marcgravell Only the one song to write this year. Last year it was the whole panto (Sherlock Holmes and the Case of the Twisted Triangle).
  5. Entirely failing to write Guides pantomime song. Inspiration is failing me.
  6. @raybooysen Most people at OSJam won't be Googlers anyway but the reception is definitely mixed. Many don't really know much about it.
  7. Hoping to give lightning talk about Noda Time at the next Google London OSJam: http://osjam.appspot.com/
  8. @Kateviola Where was the venue, out of interest? Can't say my memories of Worcester as a town are particularly pleasant ;)
  9. @RealDMitchell I can't see any reason why you wouldn't get an HD one. Pop into Richer Sounds and they'll help a lot. Splendid chaps.
  10. Kids are fab: Holly: "What would you like to have your faces painted as?" Robin: "I want to be cheese!"
  11. Loving the code review for Mercurial repositories on Google Code.
  12. @SurveyRunners I expect it'll be relatively rare to write new .NET 4.0 code to do with threading without using it... after some time.
  13. @neilfenwick Cool - thanks very much :) I assume that's the first edition?
  14. @aggelosmp Too late for Java in general? I don't think so. Too late for Java 7? Apparently ETA is now end of 2010.
  15. @martinfernandes Sure... but let's say it's a heck of a lot better than what we've got now :)
  16. @tarlano Actually it looks pretty sweet - largely like FCM: http://tinyurl.com/ygs92pr co-authored by Joda creator Stephen Colebourne. Yay!
  17. Java 7 getting closures after all: http://www.jroller.com/scol...
  18. @RichardHopton It's comprehensive if you want to know about C# *the language* from version 2 upwards. Not comprehensive for framework stuff.
  19. @KirillOsenkov Ooh, so there's hope yet. My biggest uses for zoom will be presentations and screenshots, I think :)
  20. @KirillOsenkov Discovered downside of VS2010 zooming today - it doesn't zoom tooltips. So much for high-res screenshot :(
