  1. RT @megpickard: This is rather wonderful (and handy!) how fry-up breakfast costs have changed over time - http://bit.ly/4w6CWb via @covert)
  2. What an array of humanity I was witness to when shopping. I couldn't specify any actual crimes being committed, however, only general ones.
  3. @helga_hansen I won't lay a hand on it. Unlike him ;)
  4. Out of empathy for the Irish, if I see any of those vacuums that he's put his name to, I will write "cheat" on it for you.
  5. Please, journos - stop calling the Henry thing "hand of God"! Those were Maradona's words and certainly not applicable here.
  6. Huge room - full of suited people talking & selling things. I asked a man nearby if it was unusual. He said, no, it's a convention hall.
  7. @simontkey I think as a word it's suffered from over-use in relation to the Douglases and Dalton. They ruined it for us.
  8. "This pageboy delivered in 265 seconds, using one Equerry."
  9. "This shopping list brought to you in 672 seconds, using 113 queries, of which 81 I apparently should have already known the answer to."
  10. Thinking of variants on those website page load indicators, e.g. "this page delivered to you in 0.913 seconds using 73 queries".
  11. RT @ThisIsThisBlog: New blog post: The Mayan Calendar - A True Story http://www.thisisthis.org/2...
  12. @Cliff Tell me more ;)
  13. Film idea: naive young woman goes to Moscow to work as assistant to a demanding newspaper boss. Working title: "The Devil Works At Pravda".
  14. Barely had time to look up from the computer today, but just did. May have pulled a forehead muscle or at least badly strained an eyebrow.
  15. @serafinowicz Also known as Exotic 350 bold (PC, TrueType). Or at least v.v. similar.
  16. "An evening with one of the founder members of The Flying Pickets. He tells a few stories, jokes and sings." Don't go overboard!
  17. News of The World: "this was a hollow 'victory' for France." Don't worry Ireland, it clearly wasn't a real victory to France.
  18. In my opinion putting a weeping child in a distant room so that you can't hear it, well, it is a far cry from parenting.
  19. @helga_hansen You put crackling in your muffins...? Oh, didn't read that properly.
  20. @KatyNewton I do indeed speak from experience. Through a mouth that still feels the sensation.
