  1. XHTML seems ridiculous until you have to parse HTML.
  2. @codinghorror @migueldeicaza JavaFX Script UI syntax is interesting. It reads like JSON: http://bit.ly/qLmQa
  3. RT @JosephHill, @sandyarmstrong: Thanks RMS! You have opened my eyes. Switching to VB.NET. #gcds
  4. @migueldeicaza @JustinAngel I think we need a lighter weight view engine for WPF/Silverlight than XAML. XAML is XML gone bad.
  5. @stevenharman It's a good point, though - source control has always been designed around developers rather than releasing working software.
  6. @stevenharman Oh, the goal... I just got off the phone with Jonah and he told me to use Visual Source Safe... ???
  7. Surprise evening of mind being blown. @sloro schooled me in GMail management, @robconery schooled me in Git. Who wants to teach me Mandarin?
  8. Just recorded a quick 20ish minute conversation with @robconery on Git. Makes a lot more sense to me now.
  9. r @SteveAndrews Git's very decentralized, everyone runs their own fork. Still getting my head around it.
  10. r @robconery Oh... and... CONGRATS ON THE SUBSONIC 3 RELEASE!!!
  11. r @robconery Deal. I've been dying to talk to someone who could convince me that branching and merging are worth optimizing for.
  12. @robconery I wish you'd brought up Git on the podcast, I'd have loved to talk about it...
  13. r @robconery I'm very interested to hear how Git works for you. I think it's overrated for most projects that aren't Linux.
  14. "Go right on through sir. Looks like you're in the barrel today." Lego Half-Life Ep1 http://bit.ly/c7VVV
  15. @codinghorror I agree with you there. Licensing costs shouldn't be hidden. Huge turnoff.
  16. @codinghorror If your costs for developing SQL Server average out to $15K/installation, do you charge $15K for a hello world install?
  17. @codinghorror I get that tiered pricing is giving you grief, but it's basically graduated income taxes for software.
  18. @RachelAppel @ShawnWildermuth Cool, the MVC Tour and jQuery Tour sound great! http://tr.im/qIi9
  19. Trying to edit a very fun but unfocused #herdingcode conversation with @robconery to make it a little easier to follow.
  20. Renaming GMail labels to folders doesn't solve the fundamental problem - there's no option to see all mail *not* in a folder.
