  1. Off to bed. I've been on twitter more today than of late, and have enjoyed the conversations. Night all.
  2. @Kenny73 so long as it's alternative! I wonder when rap went from alternative to mainstream? Was white lines alternative?
  3. @Kenny73 I love it, but the grungier end of alternative seems to be more popular on your list. I like that stuff too :-)
  4. @andywallis I'll take the credit for those two. Trying to redeem myself after all the c86 stuff I put on!
  5. @SerendipityJane serendipity I guess.
  6. @djmath Teachers' TV http://bit.ly/1OMLFK and NCETM http://bit.ly/3MZKCe both great resources.
  7. @atestrings Might be interested if so, though I haven't begun to think how it might work and if it could work.
  8. @digitalmaverick Bad choices! unusual conjunctions probably good - and of course the availability of the .com domain.
  9. @digitalmaverick LOL - don't suppose we can blame Loop for not planning for the internet when they formed in the '80s.
  10. @gbrown057 indeed! You just never know what fate has in store for you.
  11. @gbrown057 @kenny73 Cool! I could spend all day adding this. Started with Beat happening, chills, swell maps and tvps
  12. @gbrown057 Early 1988. She seemed pretty wasted. Didn't talk much. Having seen her soundcheck, we felt guilty taking money at the door!
  13. There ought to be a word for "named in a way that makes it hard to find online" - Stuart Johnston's ClaSS software is another example.
  14. This reminds me - Loop are a really hard band to find online unless you know track or album names, because "loop music" means something else
  15. @Kenny73 I did wonder about a young chap like yourself being into a band from the late '80s!
  16. @gbrown057 It was touch and go every week whether or not we would break even! Except when Nico played - we raked it in that week.
  17. @gbrown057 £5.27 in 2008 according to the Bank of England! http://bit.ly/r6aDo
  18. @andywallis http://bit.ly/1YJVyt 1987 actually. Richie and I did a council screen printing class and produced 100s of these on the sly...
  19. @atestrings virtually?
  20. @kenny73 I still have the poster :-)
