  2. New blog post: OSS Licensing: GPL vs. LGPL vs. BSD, going from one to the other http://johnvpetersen.com/?p=386
  3. @sbohlen If you want to make sure downstream users replenish the OSS tributary, you would likely opt for lgpl or a modified bsd lic.
  4. @sbohlen It's why selection of an OSS license from the beginning is an important decision.
  5. @jptoto grab your slinket and get on the wan party
  6. Have you been blocked by @bellware? Here is your chance to tell the world http://bit.ly/5dkuEP
  7. Had a great time @indyhall today. Good to see @sarajchipps
  8. @sbohlen That would result in a dilution of rights - which is not generally allowed. OTOH, a fork of a BSD project could likely go LGPL.
  9. @sbohlen Those downstream acts are what makes lgpl and bsd different. For that reason, I don't think you could go from LGPL to BSD
  10. @sbohlen BSD has no such requirement. If you modify BSD code, there is no requirement that those changes be released to the open src comm.
  11. @sbohlen Much depends on lic compatibility. With LGPL, mods have to be released to public (quid pro quo). This is the GPL portion of LGPL
  12. @SaraJChipps /gas pump/ welcome to PA!
