  7. Joining Stonewall to celebrate the legislation outlawing discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation, which I introduced & championed
  8. Meetings in the department this morning: discussing the Second Reading of the FE Bill and our skills policy
  9. Meeting Party members in Chester before coming back to London to vote this evening
  10. Visiting a school in Liverpool as part of a regional visit to the North West

  13. In Cabinet, before going up to Hull for the elections
  14. Last day of campaigning, in the North West: Blackpool, Bolton and Manchester.
  15. Meetings this afternoon. Tonight celebrating ten years as MP for Hull West & Kessle with my constituency staff.
  16. Going through my red box at the House of Commons, coming into the department later today.
  17. Meetings all day on a range of education and skills issues in the department
  18. Campaigning for Labour in Bradford, Dewsbury and Sheffield
  19. Meeting trade union colleagues in Newcastle, before travelling down to Hull to present awards to students at St Mary's Sports College
  20. Couldn't post from West Midlands - tech failures - but in Cabinet and Oral Questions in the House of Commons this morning
