  1. @aeembrey I'm ok if the store is out. But I should be able to find the thing on the Web site, right? I'm trying to give them money.
  2. Macy's newspaper insert has what I want. Local store doesn't. Can I find it at macys.com? Forget it. Get a clue, Macy's.
  3. I've just gotten an email asking me why we didn't cover an important event 5 weeks ago. How important can it have been to that person?
  4. @ryanshell @SuePolinsky Answered it once before. It's the same as Jersey's. It's growing, but doesn't match FB, Google, etc.
  5. Do people like those "Year in Review" stories? Wouldn't they prefer "What we think is going to happen NEXT year?"
  6. RT @GenlGreensboro If you are picking up your kid from Kiser Middle, a downed tree is blocking lanes along Benjamin. http://bit.ly/4vhDFP
  7. @xarker It'd been shorter and easier if you'd just said, shut your pie hole!
  8. @howardowens @TJSullivanLA Newsroom holiday party?
  9. @davidwestphal For one paper w/out debt, the dive has flattened out & a slight elevation has occurred in last four months.
  10. On Time's top 10 lists of everything, why do I know all 10 fleeting celebs but only 3 of the 10 heroes? tabloid journalism success!
  11. @howardowens You can do it on the weekend. I know you don't work on Saturdays and Sundays. :)
  12. @howardowens Agree with @dangillmor A blog explainer would be helpful to many of us working on comments. Sorry if I've missed it.
  13. @howardowens Do you have a sense that the 96% unapproved eventually come back with a real name or something like it?
  14. @dangillmor I killed an op-ed when I found out it was written by a staffer. The "celeb" laughed at me& it ran in another paper instead.
  15. @howardowens As @Joekillian says, "it would take more time, energy and creativity to be a troll through Twitter"
  16. @dangillmor Those who use real names often still tear down everything and everyone, which is OK but mostly unhelpful
  17. @dangillmor We require verified email addresses, not real names. Don't know how to enforce real names.
  18. I'm realizing that twitter is a community dedicated to helping, rather than some blogs comment, which are dedicated to tearing down.
  19. @tprout Inspiration is inspiration, I guess. BTW, I'm hounding your folks so that they'll be happy at your return.
  20. @pwtenny I've said that one, too, although it involved a different body part.
