  11. Working on noteworthy injury/illness No. 9 for this trip - some sort of painful GI thing with associated fever. Awesome.
  12. Back in Gizo...and NO, my trip into the crater of Kolombangara was NOT just like in Joe vs. the Volcano.
  13. Have a few good stories from my journey to the crater, but, as Simon, the KFPL GM said, "No one will believe you if you tell them anyway."
  14. The KFPL staff are fantastic. Found two additional species of Cyrtandra yesterday. This is shaping up to be a great excursion!
  15. On Kolombangara; working with KFPL (http://www.kfpl.com.sb/) KFPL was one of the first tropical logging companies to be FSC certified.
  16. And now...waiting for the boat.
  17. Wrapping up planning on Gizo. Gideon is getting the outboard motor boat ready...seas look calm. Next stop: Kolombangara.
  18. Undergoing intensive recovery aided by drugs, food, water and rest - going into the field on Monday and I need to be in tip top shape...
  19. Appear to be on the mend after four days or so of fever...looking forward to lucidity again.
