  1. The only way this pavement could be more dangerous is if it had spikes sticking out of it. http://twitpic.com/uuise
  2. @msgrocock You've summed that up well. Glad the move is working out. Merry Christmas!
  3. One benefit of deciding not to drive in this morning is I've been able to have a couple of post-work, pre-Christmas drinks. Cheers!
  4. @simond Well I wouldn't go with the Halifax. Or Natwest, if I'm honest. Have accounts with both and neither are particularly usable.
  5. @lomhlaba More annoyingly, I only needed to move it about 100m (out of an area with daytime restrictions), but it took 15 mins to de-ice!
  6. @lomhlaba I scraped a windscreen this morning with half a smashed CD case. Hire cars don't come with ice scrapers.
  7. @zefrog That poster made me feel slightly ill.
  8. @CllrDaisyBenson So much lovely beer to choose from. And a roaring open fire! Makes me wish I still lived off the Oxford Road.
  9. Seem to have done a lot of #rdg related Tweets lately, so here's one more: The Nag's Head is a lovely pub and I highly recommend a visit.
  10. Glastonbury is 6 months from today! (via @GlastoWatch) <- summer's on the way then!
  11. @paulmjohnston @Oranjepan Cheers! Got train in the end tho: hire car + my relative lack of recent driving + ice maybe not good combination!
  12. Anyone know how dodgy the roads are this morning? Specifically central Reading to J10, then the M4 to Heathrow. #rdg
  13. Jesus. Just walked from the Nag's Head to South St. Everything out there is sparkly. It must be -5. My beer jacket was woefully inadequate.
  14. @nickydenovan I said "Happy Christmas" to ours this morning. That's enough, right?
  15. @andydurdey Yes, sadly I am! Heading up to Crewe for a few days to see the family though. Are you round Sunderland way somewhere?
  16. @andydurdey It's become a matter of principle today! Are you back in the UK now?
  17. Seriously thinking about turning the heating on. My feet are getting cold.
  18. @craigmcgill Fair point, then it's hard to see any logic behind it at all. Very frustrating!
  19. @craigmcgill I think this can be an anti-forgery / anti-tout thing. (Although if they actually cared about touts, they'd do a bit more!)
  20. Just driven from Cow Lane across to South Street. Major roads seem to be flowing normally but I spotted more than one nutty driver. #rdg
