Dropped object protection on top of the space needle seems remarkably lax. Will probably be nervous about this upon exit.
It's nice how even though it's a fairly big city, seattle still has trees lining the streets. Waiting in line to get tix for space needle.
Plan for tomorrow: spend the day sightseeing in Seattle, then head to Olympia to spend the night, followed by Olympic NP on Monday.

Arrived in seattle - traffic is terrible, particularly for a saturday night. Is there something going on near the stadium?
Maint reqd light came no but hertz said not to worry and that i'm not liable if car breaks. Good thing this is timestamped.
Got a car wash to get rid of 4000+ mi of bugs (and deer - yuck!). Should probably call hertz to see if they'll pay for an oil change.
I always assumed the whole state me washington was green and covered in trees, but the eastern part looks more like wyoming.
Most states use a silouette of the state as their highway symbol. WA uses GW's head. It took me a sec to figure it out.

Need to clear off some more HDD space again - I should have brought my external. Headed out now to try to get to Seattle tonight.
Bright sunny forecast today for Seattle. I'm about ready after rain throughout the rockies.
I'm also realizing that as I make another time zone crossing and haven't used an alarm clock for weeks there may be some reentry problems.
Ended the night in kellogg, ID. Drove later than I really should have, and will probably sleep in.
Ran over a dead deer going 80 mph - forgot how low the prius is. No damage to car, thank God. And deer was either already dead or sleepi ... ...
