  1. @Bridgids Wild Flour it is - just met them both at Headhouse market - very cool folks.
  2. early morning with warm cinnamon raisin oatmeal bread from Wild Flower Bakery here in Philly. Just a touch of butter and sugar.
  3. New shipment (24,000) dried Spanish figs just arrived. Beautiful and tender as always. Are going to make great drunken figs.
  4. My son and I paired up tonight to cook baby scallops in a butter wine sauce. He wasn't too excited but I thought they were divine.
  5. It is just me and my son Jules tonight . . . trying to decide what to cook.
  6. Pumpkin risotto tonight had a beautiful fall orange color. Parmigiano worked incredibly well to bring out the sweet taste of the squash.
  7. Rainy again at rittenhouse farmers mkt. Need to buy squash for a risotto I'm making tonight.
  8. Just finished an amazing wine and chocolate tasting at di vino here in Philly. Incredible pairings - will have to do again for our fans.
  9. woke up with thoughts of our new dark chocolate pepper bar - need to start running some tests this weekend.
  10. Pistachios, white Valrhona chocolate, cinnamon and cream . . . all mixed together today.
  11. making honey lavender chocolates today and the smell of lighly caramelized honey has enveloped the kitchen.
  12. Unfortunately farmers markets are rain or shine. Today is the worse of the 2.
  13. @damightyboosh Halloween bugs will be at both the markets as well as the site next weekend.
  14. Just made some Halloween ladybugs, apple cinnamon cardamom ganache is delectable.
  15. tate tested the dark chocolate red ladybugs. Came out perfect . . . thin shell, clear bright red, and perfect really dark ganache.
  16. Late morning breakfast of rich dark coffee with cream and a pain au lait at our neighborhood cafe / bakery.
  17. Early start today - 4:30 and still very dark. Need to get into work to prep all of the chocolates shipping today. Feel pretty good.
  18. Bell just rung for start of headhoue market. Beautiful apples of every variety imaginable.
  19. Back from three markets today. Rainy and cold but off to beers and pizza with friends at earth bread and brewery.
  20. rainy and cold here, but prepping for the fermentation festival in Kennett Square today. Can't wait to try some local brews this afternoon.
