  1. A 10Gig traffic generator on the cheap: 10 hosts with gig NICs, clusterssh, and tcpreplay :)
  2. Got a flat bike tire last night. Val. Cyclery fixed it in a jiffy this morning. Are puncture-resistant tires worth it?
  3. However, this works ok in 9.5R3
  4. My first JUNOS bug! 8k logical interfaces in config prevents chassisd on an MX960 from starting on boot with 9.6R2
  5. Oops... *with* @zazenergy. *in* the Russian River Valley. Been wine tasting a bit today.
  6. Beginning a lovely weekend in @zazenergy with the Russian River.
  7. At Bourbon and Branch. Gently inebriated.
  8. Setting an Ethernet II ethertype to be 0xBEEF..... :)
  9. I really like going to the top of something and coasting down on my bicycle. What's the best/longest downhill stretch in the city?
  10. Used my ADP1 and Instamapper on my bike ride to work this morning. Interesting to compare speed and altitude. Bombing down Duboce is fun
  11. Weird. Debian installer detects my two disks in the opposite order that the installed kernel does. Breaks installing GRUB. Sub-awesome.
  12. God damn you Adaptec RAID controller and your "Booting kernel" message on boot. You turn a 20 second process into a multi-minute saga.
  13. Waiting in line at Dotties is always worth it. So satiated.
  14. An old rancher friend from school SMSes me to say he's going on a road trip to every state and is coming through SF soon. Awesome!
  15. Ok. I'll bite. #trick ... Treat?
  16. What can I do about SMS spam when it's actually costing money.
  17. Operation "trout hat fetch" is a success. Took a little digging in my parents attic, but I've now got a classic costume piece from my youth.
  18. I garner intense personal satisfaction from using logic and reason to politely explain a point and seeing the other party's standpoint sway.
  19. Explaining as politely as possible with wireshark and strace how this customer is wrong after they keep blaming my network.
  20. Having a bicycle significantly expands my lunchtime possibilities. Bonus: it's a beautiful day for riding along the bayshore.
