  1. Theme to every recent Doctor Who end-of-series show: The girl saves the universe. Cue Gwen for Friday. (Torchwood is in the US in few weeks)
  2. If you care about old browsers, Glow looks very nice: http://www.bbc.co.uk/glow/
  3. One team at Google is working on an OS, lead by a guy called Linus. Another team is working on another OS, lead by another guy called Linus.
  4. UPS just tripped during a big thunderstorm. Wonder what the damage would have been ... Tempted to re-try the thunderstorm without it
  5. #1 req to get deeply involved in a new language: Momentum. Seems Scala is top of Q to replace Java. I liked Fan, but Fan has less momentum
  6. @simonw Hope the IE9/HTML5 rumor has more substance than the IE9/Webkit rumor or the "IE team disbanded" rumor.
  7. Message from HG: "elete? hanged version or (d)". I'm really not sure how to answer that.
  8. 2 years after switching I'm still annoyed by the insane behavior of the green "maximize" button. Found a fix: http://tr.im/qSIU Apple saved
  9. Recently heard @simonw @dalmaer @bgalbs @gbevin @ekabanov & @glaforge complaining about MacBookPros. Will extrapolate to demise of Apple ;-)
  10. @dalmaer What were you expecting - 42? (Context: http://bit.ly/F0cX7
  11. Would like GMail to recognize mailing-list subject prefix [markers] and display them more like labels rather than confusing the subject line
  12. @dfab_con True, motivation for liking in-browser JS coverage was less coding & faster exec. It would be good if IE/etc could offer the same
  13. Code coverage for JS unit testing. I'd considered doing it with source manipulation, but in-browser makes much more sense http://tr.im/qryo
  14. Firefox 3.5 out of oven in a few hours. http://bit.ly/AeoxB #fx35
  15. OH: "I think I must have got the virus while my computer was turned off"
  16. Neat pictures of London from a warmer future when the flood barrier has failed - http://tr.im/pOmm "the new Venice (and not in a good way)"
  17. Goodbye Virgin: LHR ✈ SFO with BA. BA hold luggage rules are better than Virgin's. BA online check-in allows exit row booking. Food++ Seat++
  18. Just picturing the stink that's going to blow over if/when we discover that you need Silverlight to win the $10k.
  19. Old Firefox, Boring Safari, Tarnished Chrome, and never heard of Opera: Microsoft not at their best - http://bit.ly/eR2Ey
  20. Re-tweeting with suffix of "(via @...)" is confusing when the original tweet is written in the 1st person. I prefer a *prefix* of "RT @...:"
