  1. Just had my first Xcode crash on Snow Leopard after only a few hours. Damn, I'm still waiting for them to get this thing stable.
  2. If you draw your own custom text in an iPhone app, don't forget to hook up Voiceover support for the blind. I learned that the hard way.
  3. People always love your app on the first day it launches - wait 2 days and then the flames start rolling in :)
  4. Landscape mode... seems so easy at first, but so many layout assumptions go out the window. It's healthy for me.
  5. @HossEtemad Getting to work on exciting new stuff again is my vacation :)
  6. Oh the pure joy of working on new features again after weeks and weeks of tweaking and bug fixing. I'm the happiest guy in the world today.
  7. Finally installed months of OS X updates that I was afraid to install during the death march. Maybe now my Mac won't crash every other day.
  8. I haven't used this account in a while... hard to be open when you're under pressure, but boy am I relieved right now.
  9. ScreenFlow is a great tool for slowing down your animations and seeing every frame.
  10. @klazuka Yeah I'm proud of that one :) It only works for literal strings, though, since UIBarButtonItem doesn't retain the targets.
  11. You know, I should type these queries into Google before Twitter :) Answer is on stack overflow.
  12. Is there a trick to being able to see the contents of an NSDictionary in the Xcode debugger like you can see an NSArray?
  13. Yeah, selecting them and deleting them is what I do now, but it sucks because it opens the file of whatever breakpoint I click first.
  14. Anybody know a way to remove all breakpoints in Xcode with one key? I hate when I go to debug and get stuck hitting all my old breakpoints.
  15. Somebody please tell Apple about round(). I can't use UIView.center or UIControlContentVerticalAlignmentCenter without getting blurry text.
  16. Used the current shipping version of my app for the first time in a while tonight... wow. it's terrible now that I'm so used to the new one.
  17. Project nearly done, that means one thing: localization! Writing a handy script to diff against the last version to save translators time.
  18. I'm praying the new Xcode fixes all the crashing/beach ball problems with the Documentation viewer. Really frustrating. Anybody using it?
  19. Found a fun excuse to use the new menu controller in OS 3.0: deleting photo tags. People have been asking for that for a while.
  20. @Scobleizer Probably not, but I am going to need all the whiskey I can get after I submit this thing to Apple :)
