  1. Can't believe I just bought a SECOND air card. In Cornwall, CT, neither my cell phone nor my air card worked! I felt so cut off.
  2. Many of nature's creatures -- birds, chipmunks, squirrels, and raccoons -- greatly appreciate peanut butter, peanuts, and marshmallows.
  3. Aljazeera didn't come in this morning. Bummer. They report more news from the under-reported countries -- the developing world.
  4. Love Aljazeera. Heard an interesting documentary by a woman who grew up with an Indian father and a mother originally from Australia.
  5. I have come to terms with the raccoons. I feed them and they leave my bird feeders alone. Some might think the raccoons won.
  6. Drinking morning tea on the terrace, watching a hummingbird chase a chickadee that got close to "his" hummingbird feeder.
  7. Saturday I saw a partridge in the yard for a second time. A partridge in Vienna, VA? An urban partridge? Used to them in rural VA/CT.
  8. Raccoon ate an entire suet. Yuck! Isn't that like eating a stick of butter?
  9. It's the middle of July and our team is killing ourselves. Well, at least we have work. Too much of it. What a blessing.
  10. Fun talk with a very nice colleague originally from Bangalore. She said all her relatives notice that American dogs don't bark.
  11. Every new fact about Michael Jackson's death makes me even sadder than the last.
  12. Moved to Wild Kingdom in the 'burbs. Hummingbirds the first week. Raccoon was knocking down all my birdfeeders at 2 a.m.
  13. Successfully mapped session arrays to datagrid cells and datarows via various mathematical relationships ... that was fun!
  14. This week nature is giving us a free car wash every day. :)
  15. The people on this project call data that persists between pages "sticky data." How cute. This is the culture of these people!
  16. Too happy. Mon. I'll be working on a good hi-tech project that serves a much higher mission --it funds AIDS programs around the world.
  17. McCormick & Schmicks: What nice service. A very pleasant experience.
  18. Web marketing class: Web marketing is truly a field in itself. Things have changed so much since the 2001 "dot-bomb!"
  19. Listening to two friends at the gym discuss how much they love Korean soap operas. Cute!
  20. Talking to a ga-zillion recruiters, trying to get gig(s). Things are looking good.
