  1. @ProgGrrl Good God, you ain't seen nothing yet. The second season is as sublime as it gets.
  2. @moryan It may speak to a severe lack of Christmas spirit, but hell, 'Best of' Lists are my favourite thing about December
  3. @ProgGrrl I still cringe over their "How We'd Reboot Farscape" piece a year or so back
  4. @ProgGrrl They just can't help themselves, can they?
  5. @weinmanj As is, you have the most unambiguous villains on TV: corporations, rapists, serial killers. Makes the show feel FAR more escapist
  6. @sepinwall I'm so glad Parks and Rec's vindicated me when it comes to Che love
  7. As far as problems go, too many watchable characters isn't a toxic issue, but still worrying for the big picture #venturebros
  8. And that's AFTER killing off 1 character and writing out another. #venturebros
  9. #venturebros has all kinds of cast sprawl this year, rare for a comedy. Too many usable characters, it feels like an anthology at this point
  10. @stayingin The balancing act came crashing down there. S3 is so dour and S2 is so twitchy, plotwise, they're hard to appreciate
  11. @stayingin Exactly. 1st season juggled a lot: drama/comedy/soap. S2&S3 tried to balance it and failed, but S4 chose a tone and stuck with it
  12. @stayingin Honestly, I'd even say the first half of Season 4 is probably even better than Season 1's best stretches
  13. @tvoti Also solves the problem that everyone knows about the Dollhouse (enough to do a piece on the news), yet it's supposedly super-secret
  14. If we even got sucked into the fantasy of it all for one minute, even a minute, the show would be much more memorable, haunting. #dollhouse
  15. The problem w/ #Dollhouse is that it ISN'T icky enough. Never implicated the audience, we always remained too comfortable, superior
  16. Reiner gave #FNL such consistency. Scripts never felt too stuffed with his episodes, unlike almost every other ep
  17. Wondering how losing Reiner is going to effect #FNL. Hard to tell so far, since Berg did 4.1, and this week's director did the great 1.17
  18. @Memles Ah, sorry. Do your best to scrub the episode titles from your mind beforehand!
  19. @Memles 'Kennedy and Heidi' for The Sopranos, or 'Possible Kill Screen' for The Shield
  20. @memles It's the type of ep you can only do at the end of a series, not in the middle. It reveals the core truths of a character, like...
