  4. Funny how Banks require security questions that only you know. But all the questions are basic demographics you can find on facebook.
  5. spyware popup in firefox: "Scanning you PC for viruses". The thing wouldn't die. So I used #Firebug & Just deleted the JS code. Terminated.
  6. ... so if you find 'unauthorized transactions' on your statement, but the crooks 'authorized' it with your password, who's on the hook?
  7. Wtf, Visa now wants passwords for online purchases? #verified_by_visa it's called. But the TOS says your pw makes the txn 'authorized' !!
  8. Just had a good experience with BlueHost. I chatted with a rep - they seem to have the right attitude and policies. We'll see how it goes.

  10. Found a place in ActionScript (Flash) where, inside an doubly-nested anonymous function, foo() and this.foo() call different functions.
  11. I just tried a google web search, and was denied - never seen that before. Something about my network sending automated queries. strange.
  12. Replied identically to two google emails. Got two very different responses: the nice one, and the 'deal with it or leave' response.
