  1. @j5bot HA!! She's a Mercurial fan.
  2. @j5bot thought about that. It ended up being quicker to just walk her through svn add / commit. I think she's ready for the big time.
  3. About 2 walk wife through an svn add/commit over the phone. Left a file on my home computer. Should be interesting. I know, need openvpn.
  4. @coderbrown Thanks for sharing the link. Great meeting you the other night.
  5. Two weeks into a paying Django gig, and loving every minute of it. Will be full steam ahead for about 4 more weeks.
  6. Had a great time last night presenting at #fredwebtech. Lots of really good discussion. Will have blog post soon w/ slides, examples, etc
  7. @j5bot Keep your chin up.
  8. I just completely tore that bag of Salt & Vinegar chips to shreds.
  9. Looking forward to working with @czeh, whose first day is tomorrow. We'll be working in Python over the next month. Looking forward to it.
  10. I've been awfully hard on myself lately. Hey, me, get off my case.
  11. Checking out Closure: http://code.google.com/clos...
  12. After giving it a lot of thought, Just migrated blog data from PostgreSQL to SQLite. Transition went surprisingly well.
  13. Checking out tortoisehg to see if it's designer friendly. I'll stick with the command line.
  14. Checking out Opera Unite on 10.10 beta.
  15. Pulled the plug on my Amazon RDS DB instance. ~$2.30 /day ~$65 /month way too much for my intended use.
  16. Too much Ajax is not a good thing. Multiple submits on a single page just to complete a checkout is not a good thing.
  17. One single banana jellybean can ruin the entire mouthful.
  18. With all the traffic I get, my RDS bill should be about 50c/month. Still, this should force me to get my caching act together.
  19. Should have Vista 7 waiting at home for laptop #2 upgrade. Still need to purchase drive for failing laptop #1 ... which is still going.
  20. Blog db backend 80% moved to Amazon RDS. Database setup. Schema setup. Connection good. Need to now move data from pgql.
