  1. I base my holiday worship on who is more likely to bring me a new right front axle. Santa and Channukah Harry: ball is in your court now.
  2. I may need to get back on some relatives' Hanukkah gift lists. I'm certainly not going to be able to pay for all of these stats books myself
  3. Haredis protesting a private company open on Shabbat http://is.gd/51qG2 IDF insubordination over settlement evacuations http://is.gd/51qHb
  4. Went to a fun shabbat lunch today and met some Jews in Atlanta. Someone asked what was in the cholent. You never ask what's in the cholent.
  5. I think the most Jewish thing I did this week was when I had my ipod on shuffle and it played "D'ror Yikra." I do love that song.
  6. RT @TweetJeebus: Buying Matthew Shepard a drink just now: Mazel tov, my brother. [Obama is signing expanded hate crime legislation.]
  7. I thought I would miss Jewish stuff more than I am . It barely even registers on my conscious any more. It's like, "Shabbat, what's that?"
  8. I was looking at the meat at Kroeger and couldn't figure out why it was so expensive. Then I realized I was in the kosher part of the store.
  9. Listen to this music video for a bit without looking: http://is.gd/4bFsR Now, guess if it's Janis Joplin or an Israeli dude. You're wrong.
  10. Since I don't believe in god, who is going to tell me when it's time to build the ark? It sure does rain a lot in Atlanta. Animals: come!
  11. I have finally met enough Jews in Atlanta that the Jew events are starting to conflict with each other. Better food vs. better people. Hmmm.
  12. Went over to my friend's house last night and built a Jewish clubhouse for the Jewish clubhouse holiday. Building stuff is fun. Holler.
  13. Monday I got a Wendy's vanilla frosty to go with my BLT break fast meal. Then I COMPLETELY FORGOT ABOUT IT. Just saw it on my desk. Sad.
  14. Dear Chabad, You better start atoning now for running out of food at the break fast. That's a serious transgression. God is watching. [/not]
  15. The one Jewish event all year that starts on time is the Yom Kippur break fast. Not surprised! Good that we keep our priorities clear.
  16. It's only halfway through Yom Kippur and I'm already down a belt loop. Looking forward to some binge eating later tonight after sundown.
  17. I had to get my macbook case replaced when the edge cracked (thanks applecare!), but now I have a new keyboard, and no Hebrew letters on it.
  18. I'm looking forward to fasting on Yom Kippur because I have a bunch of class that day and it will be fun to complain about how hungry I am.
  19. I like how at a Jewish event being thirty minutes late is more like being twenty minutes early. It's good for us not-so-punctual people.
  20. At the moment, the High Holidays look like a chance to eat some good Jewish food with some other Jewish people, which I'm totally ok with.
